The lack of representation in rock music.

Women and minority groups have always been under represented in rock music, but as others have alluded to that's hardly a surprise when the majority of record label bosses are white males, and the record-buying demographic has traditionally been white kids fed a diet of boybands and photogenic but talentless gimmicky dross.
That said, I've seen Courtney Barnett, Anna Calvi, PJ Harvey, Savages and The Joy Formidable this year, so there are some women breaking through the glass ceiling, albeit not near enough.
I'm a fan of Savages and PJ Harvey, but I've sort of gone off The Joy Formidable a little bit. There were a couple of tracks on their last album which I really enjoyed, but they just sound like they've shed their previous skin of making quirky little rock songs and replaced it with cement mixers full of reverb and Biffy-sized "stadium anthems".

I'd say I don't worry enough.

Whoever said that is a nosey ****.
(unless it was Colin Bell).

When I grew up Rock music was seen by black people as white music, R & B, Soul, Blues, Jazz was always theyre thing most of all, Hendrix was the exception

Although there were others like Arthur Lee

to me its a bit like complaining that there aren't enough white Jazz or Hip Hop stars
