Er; yes. Not sure what that has to do with Leicester, mind.
Nothing to do with them, just reminds us of the sheer hypocrisy of a set of fans who give grief to any player who dared leave them - but believe they deserve to snatch the best player off the team that won the league title, the same title they have themselves failed at for over a decade despite spending far more money.

There have been a lot of discussion on the reasons why Leicester won they won the league, but one big factor was they peaked too late the previous season.

If they had started winning earlier and finished top six, say, they would never win the league this year because they would have lost their best players during last year's transfer season.

It's such a pity. Would have been interesting to see Leicester add a couple of good players, and give it a good go with the CL nobility. Nor going to happen it seems

Wenger will have promised he will never finish out of the top 4 ........... won't with the PL nor the CL but a consistent 2nd - 4th place above Spurs Cup Winners Trophy Winners Shield medal is assured Lol
He must really hate spurs then. :D

I see where you're coming from. But that's the nature of 90-odd percent of football fans. We're all hypocritical to a greater or lesser extent. Back on topic, I agree with you about Leicester in the CL next season. If they lose another player or two alongside Vardy, they'll struggle in the CL. It's a big ("massive", even!) step up from domestic football to mixing it in Europe.

Don't get me wrong, I have got my suspicions. Performance enhancing will be going on all over world football, just like it is in athletics. I'd just rather keep quiet about it until anything official comes out. Some people are different and rather come out and say it how it is. I just see this thread full of angry city fans who thought they was going to piss the league after the first five games, only to be blown away by Leicester. I might be wrong totally wrong there, but that is how it seems to me when if you read this thread. I'm pretty sure there was accusations of Chelsea using enhancements when they won the league last season, but I could be wrong again there. Vardy has always been very quick, especially off the mark. Vardy went from scoring 5 to 25 in a season, bony went from scoring 25 for Swansea to 5 with us. This happens in football.
Poor example. vastly different circumstances.
Bony was first choice striker at Swansea, playing nearly every game.went to City and played second fiddle to Sergio.poor goals return.
second season at City he catches Malaria during the summer.and struggled with a number of injuries.
vardy played 34 games one season and i think 36 the next,no real injuries to speak of.Have you any examples of an ageing striker showing an explosive increase in form and efficency?
It does NOT happen in football, thats my point which you appear to be missing.
i thiok ive already made my point clear that i,m not an angry City fan who thought we would piss the league,i actually thought leicester were well worth their place at the top until earlier this year..

Fair enough, we'll just leave at that.

I feel sorry for what Leicester fans will have to go through in the near future, the realisation that they are never going to top this season. And that all their heroes will leave, most likely to become ordinary players once more at other clubs.

Tricky task facing the owners and board right now, they'll have to throw a load of money at things and home to achieve some stability in the top half.

Think they'd have struggled in the CL, anyway.

I wouldn't feel too sorry for them. They've just had a season beyond their wildest dreams, they'll be playing in the CL next season and they're pretty secure in the cash cow that is the PL. I'm sure fans of Villa, Derby, Wolves, Brum and other similarly sized clubs in the Championship would kill to be in Leicester's position. Yes, they'll never better what they achieved last season. But I'm sure they're comfortable with that.

I wouldn't feel sorry for them either. Vardy might well stay. I bet Leicester have put a counter-offer into him. Could be agent using another club's interest to get the best deal for his player.

Leicester might just love proving everyone wrong again second time around. If they do it again, or get top 4, when everyone knows their capabilities, then they really will have arrived. This season we'll find out how good their manager and players are.
