Well, that was a predictable reply. I've read mosts posts on this thread, I've come to the conclusion that until anything is proven agaisnt Leicester for performance enhancing, I'll have a huge amount of respect for what they did this season, best team I see at the etihad. I don't see how city fans could be so bitter about Leicester winning the league. It's better than probably just about any other team apart from us winning the title. Until it's proven they've been taking enhancements you can come back on here and call me a simpleton, I'll gladly take it too.

mate, to be fair, my anger is not really directed at you,or any other City fan who wants to do the decent thing and congratulate the tricky foxes on their title win.I too was swept away by the foxy-tale story unfolding before my eyes last season..i was amazed at their brilliant start to the season, amazed by the 5000/1 odds which wise folk jumped on at the bookies, and i openly argued for anyone to hear that leicester could win the title, they were playing as a unit, didn,t have the bother of european football and had somehow avoided injuries as they smashed teams left right and centre on the counter attaack.
On the 5th December 2015,in a weatherspoons in Stoke town centre,i argued with a younger City fan, after our defeat that day, that Leicester could easily win the title...the younger lad laughed at me and said i was crazy,he looked a little bit less cocky a few hours later when news of the tricky foxes latest victory was sent to his phone, putting them clear at the top of the league.i had posted on here many times that they were capable of doing it,arguing with other City fans who thought they had no chance and would crumble.Just like you i was taken in by it all.

something changed when the story broke in the sunday times.the tricky foxes were named. i started looking a little closer.the more i looked into it, the stranger it got.Too many things do not add up.I can easily appreciate that not everyone has the time or the inclination to conduct research into another teams recent background,we all lead busy lives dont we? However i dont need to wait until something is proven to air my views..i smell a fox.pretty much like the bomb fiasco at the swamp, i refuse to take in all i hear and read about.thats just me,but ive paid good money these last 30 years watching City home and away, and i cant escape the feeling that last seasons title race was not as it seems.that makes me angry. The the history of PED in world football is huge and if your not aware of it perhaps you are a little out of your depth in this debate.I,d ask you again, as you ignored it last time, to consider how a 29 year old striker who scored 5 goals the season before, hits 500 the season after and gets faster and more confident...at that age it just does not happen mate.think about it.Not when the team behind him has hardly changed,a team that was shit all last season until April...then bang! paul dickov turns into a teenage michael owen..or trevor francis in his heyday...and folk just lap it up without a seconds thought.

Don't get me wrong, I have got my suspicions. Performance enhancing will be going on all over world football, just like it is in athletics. I'd just rather keep quiet about it until anything official comes out. Some people are different and rather come out and say it how it is. I just see this thread full of angry city fans who thought they was going to piss the league after the first five games, only to be blown away by Leicester. I might be wrong totally wrong there, but that is how it seems to me when if you read this thread. I'm pretty sure there was accusations of Chelsea using enhancements when they won the league last season, but I could be wrong again there. Vardy has always been very quick, especially off the mark. Vardy went from scoring 5 to 25 in a season, bony went from scoring 25 for Swansea to 5 with us. This happens in football.

So; if Vardy does go to Arsenal, will that be the thin end of the wedge? Will Mahrez and Kante look at that and think "if our owners are willing to sell Vardy, why should I hang around?"

So much for the 'band of brothers' they keep talking about, if there is an exodus of players it could really mess them up going into the new season.

You think they would have wanted to stay together as a team and see what they could do in the champs league. If Arsenal come knocking and give you a decent pay day at Vardy's age it's hard to say no.

At the end of the day, they're professional footballers. If Vardy gets the chance to significantly up his salary, and play with (theoretically) better players, is he really going to turn down that chance?

I wonder why our friends down the east lancs in merseyside don't hold that view when Raheem wanted out?

The thing is us, the rags, arsenal, Chelsea and the mickeys will all have strengthened, there won't be a repeat of last season where Leicester will piss it like this season and I think the Leicester players know that. If i was ranieri I'd walk now, go out at the top as we all know how football can kick you in the bollocks in a heartbeat. It's a shame as I'd like to see Leicester go toe to toe with a full strength and rejuvenated city, utd, Chelsea etc... just to see if they got the minerals. But sadly I think if vardy goes then you're looking at a few more following him out the exit door.
