Haha

Perhaps we should have a separate thread, listing the opponents that we dislike the least, (and the reasons why)

Norwich: Delia, bless

Watford: could never take them seriously after Jossy’s Giants

Leicester: crappy, clappy drum lovers, and Robbie Savage

After that I’m struggling.

West Brom? Boing-boing, Frank Skinner, Adrian f***** Chiles...

In my lifetime there have been two teams that have come up from the old second division and won the league the following season, Ipswich and Nottingham Forrest.

I know Leicester haven't just been promoted, but given their position 14 months or so ago when they were odds on to be relegated, their record since then has been exceptional.

They will be worthy champions, and I have no doubt they will replicate the records of both Ipswich and Forrest back in the day, when both of those teams regularly finished in the top four and went on to win European championships, be it the European or Uefa cups.

Leicester will now attract some very good players over and above those they already possess, and I can see them being a force, not only in England, but in Europe as well over the coming years.

They have a respected manager at the helm, a fantastic team spirit, and I can see them taking Europe by surprise next season.

It might seem a bit odd thinking like that about Leicester, but they have been a breath of fresh air this season, and they will be the same in the next campaign, so it won't surprise me if they do very well in the champions league.

They don't give a stuff about reputations and history, and I think that is a fantastic attitude to have, a bit like Wimbledon on steroids.

Good luck to therm, and their supporters.

The world is full of great players and with the new flood of tv money, the Premiership clubs are the richest around. City, Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal can only sign and pay for a fraction of them.

With a good set of scouts, a good manager, a little luck and a dash of team spirit there's no longer any reason why teams like Leicester, West Ham, Stoke and the soon to be rich Everton cannot challenge regularly.

Edited to add:

And that's great. Perhaps it'll stop the sort of complacency that seemed to dog our players in the league this season.

Is there any evidence whatsoever that they are cheating? All I have seen is they are fit therefore they must be cheating.
Is there any evidence that they are fitter? What are the stats for km per match? Are they miles different to anyone elses , the most successful team might be a bit better without cheating.
Yet all the media outlets I watch speak of how Spurs are the fittest team in the league, they cover more distance every week, are quicker and they had the biggest pre-season. They should be the ones with question marks over their pre-season "regime"

Interesting, most people I have spoken to assume that they will be mid-table next season, possibly even lower but I agree there is no reason to assume that they won't be a force next season even if they might struggle to genuinely challenge for the title again once they have champions league football to contend with. Raises an interesting question though. If you were a bookie and you were currently drawing up odds for next season before any transfers have been made etc, where would you have them in your list of odds? Who would you have ahead of them and why? I see they are 7th favourites with Sky Bet which is extraordinary when you think that they are currently strolling to the title so much more comfortably than we have ever looked like doing. And to give some context, Liverpool are 6th favourites at 12-1 and Leicester are 7th at 33-1!

They've ran the 8th highest distance collectively in the Premier League this season. Spurs are comfortably top on that measure. So I don't see how doping could be an issue.

For me, they're similar to Chelsea last season and Liverpool when we won the title. Extremely lucky with injuries meaning that they can continue to play their system without any problems. That's one of the reasons we've never ran away with the title, because we always have significant periods of the season where we're playing without one or more key players.

Next season they might struggle because teams will be happy to get a point against them, meaning they're required to go out on the front foot and break teams down, which isn't their style. And it would take a massive coincidence for them to be able to avoid any key injuries when they're playing twice a week. A lot of it also depends on keeping the team together and strengthening it, which Liverpool couldn't do.

You'd think they would struggle if teams just parked the bus against them next season but what I don't understand is why teams wouldn't have been doing that against them for the last few months. They have been top of the league since god knows when and consistently in the top three or four pretty much all season. Surely opposition managers realised ages ago that they needed to be treated with respect. Or are we saying that managers in this country are so stupid that Leicester literally need to win the league to flag up to managers that they need to consider appropriate tactics against them?

the thing youre not factoring in, is that whether you like it or not, we have very good players. Its not a case of whether managers an "suss us out", thats easy. Footy is a simple game, dont be brain washed by the pundits. The thing is, if you dont let flair players keep the ball, or the space to use it, they cant do jack shit.

Well to be fair, they've recorded a stupid number of 1-0 wins, so it's quite possible that managers have been doing that against them, and just got unlucky.
