The Long Good Friday

This is a really interesting piece with Bob Hoskins passionate about his fellow Londers and their roots - but they just got in the way of the money men and were soon toast

Well they cant have it both ways the old cockney sparraa. London villains stole the money that funded it all with the Brinks Mat job. And the same cunts did the Hatton Garden job that is now famed as being a great job pulled off by nice old pensioners.

I think Bob Hoskins was more pointing out that for decade possibly centuries proper working class Londoners lived (and worked ) by the river and there were proper working class communities living there in substandard housing and despite years of promises the whole riverbank was manipulated by the money men into what it is today - offices (maybe losing value now ) and very very very expensive flats. Londoners cockneys have been scattered since those days and Bob was lamenting what was coming - I do wonder how many outside the capital have witnessed the same? Cities like Manchester and Birmingham have seen loads of working class areas mostly near city centres that have been cleared for expensive offices and flats
