With all City players training today it looks like a full squad to choose from.
The last few derbies have been tense nervy affairs and I can't see this being any different no matter the bravado of both sides,it's a game that's probably arrived sooner than either camp would wish for realistically
Key areas to nullify are not allowing Carrick to dominate the ball,he makes them tick and is such a key player. Whenever he plays well and is a big influence that's when Utd are at their most dangerous
While its always a concern with Utd out wide,I don't think they are anywhere near as dangerous as they have been in the past with the likes of Kanchelskis and a younger Giggs and its really a case of worrying about Rooneys movement and the sheer class of van Persie
I would like to see Rodwell doing a man marking job on Rooney and shadowing him all over the park as he did so successfully with Silva in his Everton days and leaving Vinnie to concentrate on RVP
Ideally it would be yaya playing much further forward than he has been with him and Aguero running at Pug who looks a pale shadow of the player he was.

Team I'd go for presuming Micah & Clichy are fit enough

Hart
Richards Kompany Nastasic Clichy
Milner Rodwell
Aguero yaya Silva
Negredo

Sky bias repeated here

City duo not likely to start in Manchester derby
David Silva and Micah Richards may both be on the bench against United

By Kevin Albrecht | 20th September 2013

Manchester City are set to take on Manchester United in the first Manchester derby of the season on Sunday but City manager Manuel Pellegrini will most likely not be starting attacker David Silva or defender Micah Richards, according to Sky Sports. While both are now healthy enough to be on the bench for the crucial early season match between the two title contenders, both are unlikely to see first half action.

Sunday is a no lose game for both sides really. I expect Moyes to pack the midfield with Fellani & Weetabix head dishing out some stick along with one or 2 others as they might get away with it due to the selection of the referee.

I will go for a 2-1 win for us but would not be surprised with a draw.

I think a lot of it will be down to how the officals referee the game and what the cheating Rags are allowed to get away with or not.

Yeah, well komps eats 4 weetabix every morning....

I think 2-1 too.

Sorry my bad -it was bricksy who said it - no idea his post count or authenticity - apologies in advance
You can understand the scepticism though

I take it Bluewonder invented Bricksy as some kind of trojan horse for his sad attempt at humour
Fookin trogs the lot of them

What on Earth are you talking about? I was just wondering if the guy had heard anything. I'm afraid I'm not quite cynical enough to automatically assume that it's a Rag on the wind-up.
Then you have a lot to learn my friend
