If we play 4 in.midfield we will get overrun....Rooney will drop deep to make a 5th man and play inbetween the lines...

Aguero can do.this for.us but is not.that string in that position as rooney or indeed as tevez was for us
I thik if pellers plays wthr same.system as he has dione so far we will get beat....just my opinion

I don't know about getting beat but I am pretty sure there will be no deviation from the current system. Silva will play if fit as he is part of the quartet that includes Kompany, Toure, Aguero who will always play unless rested for perceived bigger (ie CL) games. Fernandinho is possibly in this group. The system will not change but say replacing for Navas for Milner may attest to a slightly more defensive mindset in some circumstances.

Dzeko and Aguero will start and Silva will replace Nasri (or Nasri may bump Navas to the bench) but when everyone is fit our default starting 11 is pretty clear and will be used more often than not.

Attitude is key. We have had the beating of them more often than not so get the mind set right and the rest will follow.

Attitude is important but so is tactics and we have already seen our 4 man midfield overrun by lesser teams and players

I agree that Silva should play...and id rather have Micah and zabba at fullbacks but i dont think that will happen......nightmare having to have kolorov against valencia!

my worry is centrally however....if we allow them to control that area they will create endless chances from infrontt of our back four where rooney will play in between the lines or from the wings where our fullbacks are pushed so high that there will be space in behind...none of this has mattered in previous meetings cause we have dominated the meaningful possession and they havent had that many chances (even in the game where we lost last season at the Ethiad) but with our four man midfield we dont dominate the central areas at all. Utd also have a lot more physical midfield and fellani is one of only a handful of players that can physically cope with Yaya.

Like i said its only my opinion but if we play a four man midfield we will be lucky not to get beat......

I take it the 1-0 in the FA cup semi final never happened. Weird how they included uniteds FA cup third round win though.

Interesting stat:

The away side one both games last season. In fact the visitors have won five of the last six meetings in all competitions including the 2011 Community Shield when United won 3-2 and were allocated the 'away' dressing room.

I would start Negredo with Kun this game. Feel like Negredo's agressiveness would come good and give United's back some trouble. Perfectly for Kun to use it to his advantage.

I think the line up for this game might surprise a lot of people. Kolarov seems to be very much in favour, as does Garcia and Fernandinho. Add Nasri in there and you have a worrying game plan.

With Clichy not fit then Kolarov will play as will Fernandinho. Its going to be the same side as Tuesday but Silva in for Nasri if Silva is fit or alternatively a Silva/Nasri combo with Navas on the bench as another possibility. Aside from a bit of personnel reshuffling to accommodate Silva I don't see much changing.

I have to say I hate derbies until we have won them or have have at least drawn at the Swamp. The thought of losing one sickens me as I know that I'll be gutted for ages afterwards.

As neither us or the Rags are looking particularly good so far this season it is looking like a safety-first draw, which obviously suits them more than us.
