Bellamy was a terrific asset to this Club.
He put in 100% every time and his pace, crossing and shooting have been sorely missed by the team. He was valuable. too, in the dressing-room, leading by example, which gave him the right to put the 50% players in their place.
Obviously, his injury history was known to Hughes wnen he bought him and because of his respect for the man's experience and knowledge of his his own body, he allowed hm to set out his own training regime knowing that he would play when he could and always do his best on the pitch That is Bellamy.
Unfortunately, Mancini, who probably knew little of Craig's situation, came in with a 'one size fits all' philosophy and put him in danger of finishing his career.
What was Bellamy supposed to do?
Just another great playing asset wasted by Mancini.
Who were the other wasted assets?

The Capello index that apparently he had nothing to do with after a warning from England? We're not talking about England here, the only index that matters is the Mancini index!!! so which out of these assets has Mancini wasted?

Jo
Santa Cruz
Caicedo
Adebayor
Bridge
Onouha
SWP
Nedum
Weiss
Logan
Vidal
Tutte
Bellamy

Dunne: sold at least one season too soon.

Adebayor: who I suspect just needed a steady run in the side (and maybe a few crosses)

Superman: who we will probably now spend a small fortune to replace.

Did he do his best against spurs and rags at home?

Cause if he did he simply isnt good enough.

Mancini has been more of an asset to City than saint Bellamy could ever hope to be.

There was never a player born who could be on best form every week. All we can ask is that he does his best, and I never saw Bellamy do any less than that.
His football assets were unquestionable.
We'll never know, now, just how great an asset Craig would have turned out to be to us. Mancini has got a lot right and a lot wrong.
On Bellamy, I think he got it wrong.

I think it was bellamy who got it wrong he had a chance to be part of something great, he chose to waste that oppertunity by throwing his toys out of the pram because his mate got the sack.

Wrong on all accounts.

Dunne was shamelessly forced out by Hughes.

Adebayor proved Arsene Wenger correct.

Ireland was an unfortunate one, I'd rather we kept him, but once competition for places heated up he again began demonstrating his mental fragility and lack of consistency while on the pitch. He only really had himself to blame for his departure.
