The most awe inspiring place you've been

The pyramids on the outskirts of Cairo not so much looking at them from the outside but from the inside, amazing how they made a viewing hole from the inner depths to the outside, but more than that how they managed to line it up with a particular star mind blowing.

Vic Falls takes a bit of beating (much better than Niagara IMO) but I'll go for Petra in Jordan. Going on horseback down a narrw defile before opening out to an absolutely awe inspiring sight.

this.

and taking a donkey ride up to the temple was brilliant too!

When I went there it rained for the first time in two fucking years. And boy did it fucking rain.

Iguazu Falls is another good shout.

Id never been to Sydney and I was visiting our head office in a Sydney suburb, after work I got a taxi into the Rocks area of the City.
I told the driver I wanted to see the Opera house etc so he dropped me off at the end of a little street and said, just walk down that street and check out the view, I walked down between the buildings and there suddenly it was, Sydney Harbour down below in all its majesty, the harbour bridge, the Opera house, the turquoise water the deep blue sky, the little boats and ferries bobbing about, Id seen a thousand pictures of this view and suddenly there it was but in 3D and spectacular.........it was so feckin beautiful I started (embarrassingly) to cry quietly to myself as I thought of my passed away Dad who had always dreamed of migrating to Australia.
Its a funny thing but I felt I was with him one last time.

I lived there when Sydney were bidding for the 2000 Olympics (against Manchester, I'm a traitor). I put scaffolding up round the Opera House to help their bid when they adorned it with the Olympic ring colours. Amazing views round there of the Opera House and the bridge. Not many people know the Opera House is 3 separate buildings
