Nasri, thought he was going to be one of our best players once he bedded in and after the way he played and got 2 assists on his debut at Spurs but he went missing for a lot of last year and he hasn't really done anything this year.... Not the player i thought he was.

First that comes to mind for me, is Anelka. I have seen a lot of posts here in the past, praising him, so I'm sure they'll be many that disagree. But for me personally, I didn't get the hype. He was quick, but he was lazy, he was always caught offside, and he was bobbins at one on ones.
