Instead of asking vague, meaningless questions without actually expressing an opinion, why not just tell us what you think?
Or I'll ask you a question. Would you feel comfortable to walk up to a black man you didn't know and address him as a ****** if you'd just heard him use the same word to a third person?
If you wouldn't, that's probably answered your question hasn't it?
Because when a white person uses the N-word, when addressing a black person, it recalls the demoralization, segregation and discrimination of black people by white people throughout history.Bovril said:tidyman said:Robbo. said:If its acceptable in their own culture to call one another it, Why can't it be used by other cultures?

Before I write anything I am not racist and hate all who are, but the OP has a point, I hear a few of my mates refer to each other as ******, its the norm between them even if they don't know each other. It causes no offence and is not even questioned why they say it. Its a none subject as its accepted in society between themselves, its just white boys who because of the fear of being labelled as racist steer well clear of the word.

But, you know, it could be something else.

I'd say it's entirely down to audience and context.Bovril said:Blue Is the Opposite of Blue said:Because when a white person uses the N-word, when addressing a black person, it recalls the demoralization, segregation and discrimination of black people by white people throughout history.Bovril said:Before I write anything I am not racist and hate all who are, but the OP has a point, I hear a few of my mates refer to each other as ******, its the norm between them even if they don't know each other. Only when ignorant racist people want it to be something else, and I agree they do exist unfortunatly.
