To me, it's a clear ........50/50!

Webb could have called it either way and it would have been hard to argue with his decision. But, if that was a Komps challenge we would have been praising him until the Mrs. and her mates come home.

This is exactly what it's all about. Bugger fair play handshakes and any notion of objectivity. Samir is chopped in the area it's a pen, Howie! If Javi Garcia upends someone in our area it's a great tackle.[

He won't do that, according to the vast majority he cannot play football and is a donkey

But even a donkey can upend somebody. Just look at Jonny E and ask Mario!

Think that's being unkind to donkey.s

Good tackle. Risky but 60/40 no penalty in my opinion. Either way, the fact we won 6-0 takes much of the steam out of it.

I understand exactly why people are puzzled about inconsistency. The Sunderland red and Everton non-red were much clearer miscarriages of justice.

I thought Sandro put in a real shift although, as others have said, he might well have seen red.

As soon as Sandro slid in I couldn't help but say 'what a tackle'. Can't believe people would want to see something like that punished, it was a Kompany-esque challenge.

No one can say either way as there are no standard rules, you get what you get and don't when you don't I have gone past caring , if you analysis all the decisions you would go mental. Watched MOTD2 several times and full game again today and would rather keep doing that than worry about Ref's!

He got the ball first but he virtually wraps both his legs around Nasri's, meaning that Samir had no chance of staying on his feet. I think that in today's game, it should have been a penalty but I'm not outraged that Webb chose not to give it. My reaction if we had not won the game may have been less forgiving; who knows.

Nasty made exactly the same challenge outside the box and got booked.

Both were good challenges but consistency is all that should be asked for. Webb was shocking yesterday.

I think it was a good tackle. And so what if it would be a penalty anywhere else on the pitch? I think that the penalty area does and should get special consideration as the stakes are magnified.
