This. People will probably criticise him for appearing overwhelmed, but I think it shows that he is not underestimating the importance of his new "job" to so many people.
I would imagine there's a serious amount of back scratching and favours called in for someone to be elected Pope. I get the feeling they are just puppets and do whatever they're told to do. It's a shame because whilst I'm not religious I do recognise the power a Pope has. It would be nice if we got a decent one who would put his influence and power to good use.
John Paul 2 seemed a decent fella but the cardinals didn't like him because he didn't have the decency to die after being Pope for a couple of years. They won't make the mistake of electing a healthy one again.
