Away from the Wembley debacle @NeilAshton_NOTW has been in Buenos Aires with Carlos Tevez. Fantastic, explosive interview. A must read #mcfc

From Twitter.

What is it with you people?????!!!! Yet another chuffing post on this; arrogant, selfish, overrated player who thinks he's bigger than the club.

I said it in Jan and I'll keep saying it - we're better off without him. The team functions better and they score more goals collectively. He's a trouble maker........................just get rid.

If we ever want to be taken seriously as a big club we should not take this sort of disruptive behaviour.
Everyone employed by the club from Khaldoon to the tea lady should be singing from the same hymn sheet. If there are differences they should be kept in house and a united(poor choice of word) front shown to the outside world.

Carlos obviously thinks he's bigger than the club and the club are coming across as desperate in their attempts to placate him and hope he stays. No player is irreplaceable not even Tevez.

Everytime a player at utd acts up, bacon face fucks them off. Beckham, Ince and Stam where still in their prime when he called time on them. Why ? because the team and the club come first and if you start letting players have the upper hand then you lose all credibility. If one player takes the piss, then another one will see how far he can push it too.
Rooney was the exception because there was a good chance he was coming here and that would have been an absolute PR disaster, especially after the way we bent them over with the Welcome to Manchester poster.

If we want to be thought of as a big club then it's time to stop acting like we're so fucking grateful that a player as wonderful as Carlos graces Carrington and Coms with his presence.

Man up City.
Unless he helps you win things ;)

So, am I the only one who thinks that Ashton did a very good job, then?
He got a world class footballer to open up and speak honestly about his situation at one of the most high-profile clubs in the world.
Hats off to the guy.

As for Tevez, I think he'll stay - but only because he won't get a better deal elsewhere. I can understand those who are weary of him but, to be honest, I'd rather he told the truth - as he has done here, I believe - than go around kissing the badge and swearing his undying loyalty.

Remember this though: he's a great player but, as events this May have (sadly) proved, it is emminently possible to win the Premiership and even challenge for the Chanmpion's League without him.

I think Carlos may have realised the quickest way back to Argentina is to see out his current contract with us and leave for free in 2014.

He has said he wants to go back in three years, there is no way any club paying £40 million plus for him will only want him to sign a three year deal, I imagine a minimum of five years which only prolongs his time in Europe.

I have a feeling that those clubs he mentioned are the only ones he would sacrifice a further two years away from home for but getting home for the age of 31 will be consolation for not playing for them.

I miss my kids...all the money in the world doesn't buy time with my kids...I love my kids...

What a family man he is. Maybe if he'd have kept it in his trousers and behaved like a proper family man in the first place he wouldn't be missing his kids as they'd be with him now.

I love you Carlos and without a doubt you are a fantastic player; but do us all a favour and shut the fuck up.

Best player we have, must do all we can to keep him, it also upsets the rags that we have got him which is another reason he must stay.

Harsh but fair

The guys just waiting for the 'right' team to come in with the money, this is the reason he keep spouting his mouth off. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of 'right' teams who are willing to pay. If no one comes in for him he will settle for us. Personally I don't want a player who just settles for playing for us and wishes to be somewhere else, but this is the likelihood of what will happen so we move on. I just wish he'd keep his god damn mouth shut and get on with it. Everybody knows his position he doesn't have to keep reiterating it and slagging of manchester in the process. Lets face it, its a damn site better than the argentinian slums were he was brought up.

if he goes he goes, if he stays he stays, city are and always will be bigger than any individual player...plus sack your fookin agent carlos ffs and get on with your job....profesional ??? it works both ways.

He is just your a typical footballer in that it is everyone elses fault but his, he says he is a family man but never ever accepts responsibility for the fact that the reason his kids arent with him is his own fault.

He says money cant buy time and wont replace the moment he says goodbye to his kids at the airport, yet at no point does he offer to take a paycut buy out his contract and go and play in argentina for what would still be a handsome wage, just not as much as he is on now.

Nobody ever challenges him on the fact that he wont take responsibility and isnt prepared to do anything about it, its always someone elses fault and they should fix it, its like having an overgrown teenager playing for us.

In response to stony and us not being a big club for letting him do this while in some respects i agree we have bent over as far as we should for this whinger. Its not without precident when you think how far the rags bent over for rooney, how far the dippers bent over for gerrard and torres, how far the arse bent over for viera and henty constantly and fabregas last year.
