Gutted to see Nige go. Our loss is AC Milan's gain.

He may not of been the most technically gifted of players but in terms of the type

of player he is IMHO one of the top 2 DM in the world. He always played as a fan would play

and wore his heart on his sleeve and gave his all.

Thank's for the 3 and half years of service and all the best in Milan. I have a feeling he will

become a cult hero in Milan because of the type of player he is.

Don`t understand the reasoning for only selling him for that amount,if as others have said on here,£3,5M is the agreed fee.
Top guy and top player for me and likewise I`ll miss him.

Actually it is 3.5m euro's so that would be about £2.75m

Is it £3.5m? For the best Dutch player at the Euros (the only Dutch player who played well in fact), one of the best players in his position in the world and he's only 27... as bad a deal as shelling out £17m on Santa Cruz for me.

I've referenced the Champions League prize money a few times over the last few days. If we progress from the Grouo Stage to the Round of 16 (something we'd be able to do more easily with Nigel in the squad) we'd earn £2.37m (off last years figures). So we could have held on to him until next Summer and let him go for free and get a huge deal for himself and hardly missed out on anything overall.

I just hope we've got something lined up and we're being sensible.

Mancini rates Garcia as more versatile and De Jong would leave on a free in 12 months anyway. He only played in 14 league games last season and isn't worth the neigh on £200k per week he wants.
