The Nigel De Jong Appreciation thread

Im more gutted about nige leaving than missing out on de rossi. 3 million is absolute peanuts, if thats the fee then we really need to stop having the piss taken out of us. Good luck pal

Really surprised by this one, there's no way we'd let him go unless we've got someone else waiting to sign.

Seemed like a good lad on the city videos, shame he had to go.

I had a dream that I met him and just had a little chat about how gutted I was about his leaving. :(

Guy on Sky Sports News is an idiot. 'de Jong was never in Mancini's plans because he didn't sign him' right, that's why he played nearly every game in Bob's first and second season. 'The deal suits all concerned' can't really say it suits us...

It does if Mancini gets Garcia.

Would like to hear one last chant of "when de Jong goes sliding in" tomorrow ..I'll have a crack at starting it off, but I'm rubbish at starting chants off!

genuinely gutted, Nige was the core of the squad for so long BUT in Mancini we trust.

He must have liked last season's away colours... http://www.acmilan.com/en

I'm upset that he's going but i can understand why since he wasn't getting played all that often. He was a big presence in the squad, very professional and also i think its overlooked how key he was in helping our Spanish speaking players gel into the team. Good luck Nigel mate, if possible break Robinho's legs in a training session!

It's a fucking shambles we're letting Nige for that much. Peanuts for a player of his quality. Shocking business from City there, absolutely terrible.

definitely a bad days work to allow him to leave and without knowing the fine detail, i feel we`ve been mugged.

best of luck nigel, you never let us down and i personally will remember you with great fondness, i thank you.

please dont come back to bite us on the arse

Why is it a bad days work if he is replaced with the more versatlie Garcia given he'd have left on a free next summer?
