The none miserable bastards thread

No mate. My comments about the team weren’t aimed at anybody. True, we aren’t at our best but somethings are coming together like, RICO and Doku’s performances and Savinho looks like a top signing.

We do seem to be heavier legged a mo the earlier than past seasons
i think we look a little tired but i think all our performances are kind of being viewed through the scope of not having rodri so anything that would have happened in a game with rodri in is now magnified ten fold and a way bigger deal than it usually would be.

I hope the tone of my original post didnt come across as telling others how to think as i do believe that some of the points are extremely valid and as had been made abundantly clear we defo arent at our best i was just saying life aint all bad and we should appreciate the good things too.
Wish you'd just said that!
Lol, you've incited and agitated a lot off off their allotments ;-)

genuine question what was it that bothered you about it so much, 3 goals against a low block and a team hoping to hit us fast on the break, its happened a 100 times before and will happen a 100 times again im not sure what was so bad about yesterdays performance that hasnt seen every damn team at city come and sit 10 behind the ball and hope to whack it into the channels for the pacy bloke the only diff yesterday is that traore couldnt finish, fucking spurs and son do that to us every bloody year lol.
I’m not going to spend too long on it, can’t be arsed.

But mainly, it’s not a low block per se. We used to hem teams in due to how good we were, whereas now the reason a team ends up all back is cos we are so fucking slow at getting up the pitch. Consequently it’s now become an easy tactic against us that as our midfield is so slow the opposition know that soon as they break as long as they get minimum 3/4 players out fast they will outnumber us. Yes, we had a couple of early chances yesterday but both Brentford and Fulham could and probably should have been 2/3 goals up at our place. We’ve conceded first I think 3 times on the trot at home.

I’m completely and utterly glass half full, always have been. I know 17 points is great, and yesterday was a good win. I know Kev and Ake will be back soon, I know January will be here pretty quick, we’ve got some tough fixtures out of the way already etc etc.

Just not going to sugarcoat that we are anywhere near the force we were, the 115 has obviously hindered our recruitment plans, and hopefully that will be out of the way soon enough. We’ve got the best manager in the world, thank the lord, and if anyone can solve the conundrum Pep can, but personally I think we are well off it at the moment.

Why can’t people let people openly discuss things that are reasonable talking points that aren’t quite skipping through the tulips, holding hands and throwing flower petals in the air while singing ‘ladidadida’ on a forum without being branded ‘miserable bastards’?
They can, but too many just say so and so is crap, the defence is shit etc etc. Well argued criticism is fine, unthinking meanness is not.

I rarely bother watching MOTD but as I’m laid up having had my ACL surgery this week I ended up watching it at 5 in the morning today whilst my meds were kicking in, lol, and it was a very real reminder of how lucky we were to get that 3 points yesterday.
Hi Rodri,
Hope the op went well, we need you mended and back to your best, soon as, please...
