The official 2021 Eurovision thread

I reckon he'd have gone against the grain if he had entered it.

He'd have written and performed an annoying earworm Europop ditty about reaching out and loving each other called Piff Paff Piff I want to have it off!
You can just picture him coming on stage in roller skates, parachute pants holding glow sticks wearing lizard eye contact lenses

The Iceland entry was loveably bonkers and was the standout for me. But a band that was 50% Spinal Tap and 50% Placebo showed just how poor the viewing public were at judging music. Still, gotta draw the line somewhere I guess.

Haven't watched it for 5 or 6 years or so, after it stopped being a song contest, and became the vote for neighbouring country's in return for their votes contest.

Having drunk enough in Newcastle that afternoon, Mrs Unicorn and I watched it for the first time since the '80s, with only a big bag of nachos and salsa dip to dull the pain.

Quite enjoyed it if I'm honest, particularly the thrilling way the public votes are added at the end.

I just listened to the entries while reading Blue Moon, Mrs Unicorn watched it and commented on the costumes and choreography. I thought the Icelandic, Bulgarian and Norwegian (the Angel) were pretty good, and I actually thought the Italian entry was the interval act as it was quite slick. The UK entry was unspeakably poor.
