I wasn't alive then so I can't really comment but I think you will find that the majority of the Australian public did condemn the australian captain Greg Chappell at the time.

Er, the second actually. Hawkeye conclusively showed this morning that the ball was comfortably going over the stumps. As for the one on friday evening, I agree it was absolutely plumb. Just the same as the one on friday afternoon (can't remember the batsman, Onions was the bowler;er, I think!). Both sides have been on the end of shitty decisions, not just the Aussies.
 
did anyone hear shane warne early on about 12. 15 him and bumble were talking about being able to hit a ball when it had slipped out of the bowlers hand. warne said "you can TWAT it" made me laugh anywy
