Roman set to move to Crystal Palace for the rest of the season according to the Mirror.

Manchester City’s Spanish starlet Juan Roman is set to move to Dougie Freedman’s Crystal Palace on loan for the rest of the season.

Highly-rated Roman cannot break into Roberto Mancini’s all-star squad and will be allowed out – possibly with a view to a permanent departure.

Roman, 18, signed for City from Espanyol and has caught the eye with skillful performances for their reserve and ‘development’ sides. But he is well down the pecking order at Eastlands.

Palace chief Freedman wants his money men to give him some cash for a couple of loans and wants Roman signed this week ahead of an attractive run of matches.

Surely too young to decide on a permanent move away for him, he's 18 and one of our best reserve players, can't see us letting him go for good at that age when the likes of McGivern, Poole, and Cunningham have lasted into their 20s!

permanent move would be a mistake. End of day he can't make it that's fine, but at 18 and training with the first team we must not hold him in too bad of regard.

Seems like every time he plays for the EDS he impresses so that part didn't make much sense to me either. Surely will at least be here for another few years.

Hi,

Palace fan here. Is Roman any good? What position does he play?

In my opinion, i dont think this is going to happen.

Thanks. If he was a striker, i could see us signing him but we don't need an attacking midfielder which is why i dont think we will sign him.

If it does happen it will be a loan and not a permanent move.

McGivern did well for us in the few games he played.

Not a bad little player. He's been molded to be a typical Spanish attacking mid. He's got two good feet, good turn of pace and great vision. He would thrive at crystal palace in my opinion
