can anyone confirm that Tse & Benali have been released?

Tom Halsall, George King, Luke Coulson, Paul Clowes & Tom Smith have all been confirmed on <a class="postlink" href="http://mcfcreservesandacademy.co.uk/news/february-2012/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://mcfcreservesandacademy.co.uk/news/february-2012/</a>

Anyone any news on others, such as McGivern, Cunningham, and some of the slighlty older lads?
Both were in todays training report so it doesn't look like they've been releases at the moment.

McGivern has his admirers, we'll get £300k-£500k from Barnsley or Bristol City for him. Cunningham might be worth a little more. Both are full internationals for the Irelands and should have good careers, just no chance here especially if Trippier (who is impressive) couldn't make it.

These players who are being released shows just how far we have to go to in terms of youth development.
Trippier, Mee and McGivern are not Premier League class, and while I think Trippier has a chance he needs a couple of seasons at Burnley.
This was Mancini's argument when he came.
We have always talked about out youth system, yet he pointed out that none have become first team players.
We need the odd exceptional player rather than a good team, who have average players.

Beat West Brom 1 - 0 (Rusnak penalty)

Team - Lawlor Smith-Brown Kennedy Meppen-Walter Leigh Evans Drury Glendon Cole Rusnak Hiwula

West Brom are bottom of the league so an expected result, looks like they made hard work of it though. According to Twitter, Wolves U18s were held 3-3 away at United U18s meaning the City U18s should be 2pts clear with a game in hand if the table on the PL site is up to date before today's result. Really good U18 side this season, imagine if Suarez and Rekik played for them weekly!

If we re-enter the reserve league, several should step up to EDS level next season and we'll get to see new faces like Marcos "Ronny" Lopes who we signed from Benfica, as well as the prodigy from Real Madrid, Jose Angel Pozo. I think there is also a Brazilian striker we have at U16 level who is supposed to be good but it's really hard to find any info on that team. Neither City's official site or the MCFC Reserves & Academy site have squad lists or results.

Brighton have been raving about Razak. Seems he is quite the skillful player.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7547112/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7547112/</a>

Brighton boss Gus Poyet praised on-loan midfielder Abdul Razak for his starring role in the club's 3-0 win over Ipswich at the AMEX Stadium.

Razak joined the South Coast club on-loan from Manchester City earlier this month and is set to stay until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old marked his home debut with an impressive display as the Seagulls maintained their unbeaten league record in 2012.

A brace from Ashley Barnes and another from Craig Mackail-Smith gave the Seagulls their sixth win in nine league games and moved them up to seventh in the table, only out of the play-off places on goal difference.

Poyet believes the arrival of Razak could give his side momentum at a crucial stage of the season.

"Razak has steel and is totally different to what we've got," said the Uruguayan.

"He picks out everyone on the pitch with his passing, even from 40 yards and that is quality.

"No one knocked him off the ball, either. He's solid, massive and it's nice when you have a player who is doing something unique.

"We will try and keep him until the end of the season, and hopefully use him all the time."

Ipswich were brought down to earth with a bump after four successive wins but boss Paul Jewell felt they should have taken something from the game, especially after their first half display.

"The 3-0 scoreline flattered Brighton," he said. "We are disappointed to lose the game. Brighton are on a good run but in the first half we were the better team.

"The second goal, and the manner of it, was a kick in the teeth.

"I thought that had we got a goal back after half-time we would have had a chance. It looks like a bad defeat but it's not. However, we've got to be better.

"When we've made basic errors, we've been punished. We are disappointed in the result but not so much the performance.

"You have to try and stop the opposition and we tried to close them down. We played some good stuff but sadly the only thing missing was goals.

"We know where we need to strengthen. We don't seem to draw games and that is a cause for concern. But it's a tough league and there are no easy games."

Roman set to move to Crystal Palace for the rest of the season according to the Mirror.

Manchester City’s Spanish starlet Juan Roman is set to move to Dougie Freedman’s Crystal Palace on loan for the rest of the season.

Highly-rated Roman cannot break into Roberto Mancini’s all-star squad and will be allowed out – possibly with a view to a permanent departure.

Roman, 18, signed for City from Espanyol and has caught the eye with skillful performances for their reserve and ‘development’ sides. But he is well down the pecking order at Eastlands.

Palace chief Freedman wants his money men to give him some cash for a couple of loans and wants Roman signed this week ahead of an attractive run of matches.
