I remember last season someone on this forum doing a brilliant run down of who in our academy to look out for and how they played etc, who do I have to blackmail/bribe to see a version for this season :)

It was a great way to get me psyched up for our youngsters, if I recall a lot of praise floated in the direction of Harry Bunn.

Which should tell you to not believe a word of any of it. I think it was Pughie who even though you can applaud his enthusiasm just seems to say "he's tall and gets forward, the new steven gerrard", "he's small and black and plays on the wing, the new swp" without actually seeing any of them play.

This new league looks really good though especially if you make it to the elite round. The elite round could be, Arsenal, Everton, West Ham, Villa, United, Southampton, Chelsea, City. Strong group that.

I can only go off what I have seen/heard, I'll put a disclaimer on the next one to say that although they play like that against boys their own age they perhaps wont perform that well in an open age group

Manchester City appoint new head scout
MEN | August 06, 2012

Manchester City have reshuffled their scouting department, with former Manchester United youth team player Gary Worthington becoming the new head of player recruitment.

The highly-regarded Worthington, nephew of former Bolton and England star Frank, replaces Mike Rigg, who left to join up with Mark Hughes at Queen’s Park Rangers.

I'm actually starting to get optmistic now that cockwomble Welsh has been given the push.

Here are some tweets from that crazy Ged coyne guy about him -

Gary Worthington's nickname at Chelsea FC was 'partyboy'. Apparently he used to sleep in his car after nights out.

Gary Worthington is very good socially&i always got on alright with him. He's lazy though as well as being completely useless
