Agreed, a short-term loan to a struggling Championship side would be better especially with the loan window open. Unless we're desperate to qualify from Group 2 in the U21 league (only one team qualifies and we've started well), but the development of the player needs to take priority now, he's learning nothing in the U21 league anymore and it's not like we're lacking creative players at youth level.

He wouldn't get in as they are fighting relegation and that's not the best situation for a player like him.

Suraez really does need some first team game time somewhere. He's 19 now and Nasty is already playing first team football for us at the same age and many other good players were also playing for the first team by his age. I think keeping him in the reserves will mean he will never fulfil his potential.

Exactly this! I think he should have been loaned out in January to either a Championship side or a Spanish side. It's either that or the club plan to develop him themselves.

Not a good day for our on loan blues.
Drury not included in Burton squad, Henshall and Wabara didn't get off the bench.
Helen and Rekik played 90 mins but Blackburn fans don't rate him, some comments on twitter and there is lots of them.
"blackburn's performance today was utterly catastrophic, we just imploded from the start. Oh and i am a better left back than karim rekik"

"City should straight up sell Karim Rekik. Abysmal player! Worst on the pitch by far."

The important thing though is that he keeps getting 90 mins in the championship, hopefully his performances improve.

Far from impressed with the way our youth set up is. Promising players seem to have either gone backwards or their development has just stagnated and it looks unlikely that we'll have any player make the step up within the next few years.

It will be character building for him to play in front of a bunch of clueless, whinging miserable twats though.
If he gets through that, City will be easy for him.
