I think about bets quite alot.

There’s so many times im so tempted to put like 10 grand on Barca or someone when they play at home against weak opposition.

Like last week, Bayern Munich played Eintract Frankfurt at home. They are always gonna win that so if you put 10 grand on that last Saturday you would have won - £12,000. Well £2000 profit. You do one of those bets every week and that’s like £8000 a month!!!

Unfortunately im not that type of person to do that.
I have a conscience and i think about things to much so i don’t have the balls.

But when your sat at work all day for 10 hours and you know if you just put that first big bet on and won you could then play with your winnings so in theory you never lose your own cash after that first big bet....

That is how professional gamblers do it. They wait for a virtual certainty-even though nothing is guarenteed-and lump on.

Lets say at team are 1/8 on-The pro gambler bangs 80k on and wins 10k if it lands. Thats his wages for the next few months.

I could never have the balls to do it but it would be nice.

to win long term u need to have an edge somewhere along the line.

You will always come a cropper somewhere along the line

yep, i tried that - i only bet on 1/8 - 1/9 - 1/10 stakes ... start of £100 win £110... next bet £110 win £125 etc ... eventually you lose.

You will lose somewhere down the line but if you study the game all week (don’t forget it would be your job) you could have a good chance of making a living from it. You don’t always have to put all your winnings on every bet. Just make it so your £2000 up a month. That’s 4 weeks of bets like 1/100 etc and slowly win the £2000.
Double chance is always wise rather than all on a win. I tend to do that.
Utd are 1/12 to draw or win against Norwich Saturday. There will be better examples than that bet as Norwich could cause an upset but at 1/12 = £10000 wins you £833. Nearly half way there for your month target (wage).

I've had quite a lot of success this season, ive only been betting about 2 or 3 years doing accumulators and stuff at the weekend. This year I put about 5 or 10 on about 3 teams that gives a return of about £100-£140 and ive won 4 times already. Seems the best way to do it.

Oh and teams that I always get on are:

Crystal Palace
Gillingham
Bet against Rochdale
Bet against Bury if away.

I do it everyday mate for hours
I guess its where you start and which match to choose, last year you could of seen citys results, win win win and so on
And thought fuck it £10'000 on city to beat sunderland easy money, game over first bet
Same with the rags last season they never won at home at some long odss on prices like 1/8 to beat blackburn
And barca at even longer odds never won, same with bayern

Its just not that straight forward.

Yeah i agree mate. Nothing in life is a cert. But with the odds you would be dealing with you shouldnt come a cropper to often....

It would be my dream job though if i was good at it. ha!

its all about value
an example
city were 1.52 to beat spurs
chelsea were 1.96 to beat liverpool

in my eyes chelsea were value city was not, i look alittle stupid here as city won and chelsea didnt but if these games were played out 50 times the person backing chelsea would win more then the city backer

Chelsea actually slipped out to 2.00 which i must admit looked unbelievable and i was on,unluckily.
I know where your coming from on the value 100% agree
Not with your other quote of chelsea winning more than city though :)

I had Chelsea to win/draw at 1/4. Arsenal let me down. Didnt even want them but the 1/2 to beat Fulham was too much to resist as it upped my winnings. Knew they would draw but my mate convinced me they would do the business. They were 1/8 to win/draw too but that reduced my winnings alot so went for it. Silly me....
