The Official Not Going To The Final Thread :-(

I'm on the cup scheme and my brother has 3500+ points but my Dad only has 3200, we were waiting till Thursday so we could all go together but it wasn't meant to be. He looked mortified when I told him they'd sold out, not because he couldn't go, but because he feels like he's stopped his kids going. We were all at the semi and after it he said "if we can only get two tickets for the final, you and your brother go" to which I told him "we're all going, or we're not going". It wouldn't have been the same without him there so I'll drag him down to City Square and we'll enjoy it (hopefully) together there

That's class. Great story...
You will love City Square, no doubt.

Cheers mate.

The silver lining is two other blues, who wouldn't have been able to go if me and my brother had got our tickets on Tuesday, now can. So if you were the last person to get a ticket today, it's a good job I love my Dad.

I'm pretty pissed off, I had a season ticket for years when we were shit. Now that I've moved away from manchester and can barely get to a game we're in a bloody final at wembley! Typical City.

I'd go down just so if we're winning with 10 minutes to go they open the gates you could just run in.

Best idea tbh.

Brother offered me his ticket but I genuinely cant afford the time to go to England, swamped at home and at work, and his missus has booked him a surprise break in NY so he has now passed it on to some other lucky lucky bastard. I shall however take a few hours of and get savage pissed in some Belfast hostelry and dry my eyes.

Some of these stories are heartbreaking, makes me proud to be a blue.

I know what it's like to miss out as my mate got married on the day of the semi final, though to be fair I did have a choice to go to the game albeit a difficult one.

Offered a mate one ticket earlier and he turned it down as it meant leaving his 10 year old son back home, truly inspiring.

Well I'm sorted this time and I'll enjoy the game win or lose, and I'll be thinking of fellow blues back at City square, you'll be there in spirit anyway.

Burswood casino with a couple of mates from back home and an old workmate who lives out here , all were matchgoing blues. Sure it's going to be full of city

To all those going, have a great day and sing your hearts out, we want to be able to hear you at CoMS!

All credit to you, i wouldn't go down without my old man either!

In the same boat, me my brother & old man all got semi tickets, but only I had enough for final, was hoping it would go to Thursday when they qualified, but I couldn't go without them, either we all went or none of us went. we all went wembley in 99, & again last month and those memories of getting promotion & beating the rags whilst with my old man & brother will stay with us forever, sharing it with them means more than going by myself
