Kolarov injured, Lescott on for him. Possibly Zabs for Richards, although Zabs is no speed merchant. We need the right midfielder (SWP?) to stick on Bale, as all the traffic is coming thru him. Need to stick someone on him and NOT go forward. If that is Richards or Zab, so be it, but SOMEONE has to!!

This is exactly why i didn't get over excited about richards pre season form..... all the physical attributes, just not the mental...... hes making bale look like luiz figo ffs.
We're literally playing a six man midfield the amount tevez is having to drop deep, silva is gonna be tasty once he gets up to speed.... all in all though not a bad effort, cracking game and this has all the attributes of game their for nicking - ADE 91st min

We're very lucky to be 0-0. Richards doesn't look good. SWP has lost the ball on too many occasions, and to be honest he shouldn't be on. Tevez is doing his usual. Our final ball is poor.
However, we are playing against a very settled side, who are at home on the opening day of the season.

Richards is having a mare. SWP offering nothing. We need Zab and Ade on. Tevez is playing far too deep for a lone striker. Need to switch to 4-4-2 diamond, Silva's abandoning his wing and this means imbalance. We do this and we can win this. Hart looks absolutely excellent.
