I hate Platini and hope he dies. The fat french pig.

That's a bit harsh,

May the fleas of a thousand camels arseholes fester on his ball bag, I wouldn't wish death on the french twat though.

It is not harsh enough. I really hate him and hope he dies horrifically. He is a twunt.

Can't be arsed to read 14 pages, so can anyone tell me how UEFA would stop Etihad, ADNOC, Mubadala etc etc paying us 150m a year in sponsorship fees?

Sell a pair of seats for £100M a season. No problems.

Sell MCFC TV rights to a an AD Company to broadcast.

It will be no problem.
From next season, Abu Dhabi TV has the broadcasting rights for the whole of the Middle East and North Africa after having blown Showtime out of the water.

Abu Dhabi is alreading putting itself in a position of power when it comes to its influence over the game. Al Jazeera currently has the Champions League rights. Expect those to be heading Abu Dhabi's way as well in the next few years.

maybe i'm being thick but how does this help us.
At a time when all other broadcasters are looking to slow the growth in the costs of TV rights, Abu Dhabi is slinging huge amounts of money at the game. This money, in turn, benefits the FA, UEFA, every club in their competitions, and every player in their competitions. That gives them a huge amount of influence.

Platinni's thinks he's living in some sort of communist utopia. He isn't. When you threaten to remove a large revenue source from capitalist organizations, you generally find that they have a sudden change of heart.

Indeed, sir. Cash is king and all the rules in the world cannot change that constant gold standard of global business.

My inclination as a commercial lawyer would be to take the rules at face value, make sure they apply to everyone and then simply turn them to my client's advantage. In this case, as the 'client' is one of the wealthiest [and cash/resource rich] entities in the world, I wouldn't be losing any sleep over whatever Platini mutters, and neither should my fellow citizens.

I'm sorry how would you turn this to our advantage?
What is to stop platini enforcing these rules?

And who, along with us, is going to object to this rule.
Sorry for all the questions, but will the premier league have a say in whether this rule comes to fruition???
cheers
