I think he thought just play OK golf, and it would be enough and yes Rory could not buy a put today
also, Cameron Smith played well over the 4 days, so I think the right player won
Three days, he wasn’t good yesterday. His play on those three days was great though.

I agree off the tee he was brilliant and very aggressive but I thought considering how good most of his tee shots were, his second shots were not quite good enough. He was missing putts but most were longer than 12 feet. He didn’t have that magic in his clubs today.Wouldn’t agree with Rory playing it too safe at all, he took the aggressive tee shot option all round. He just didn’t putt very well.
Cam Smith was superb.

I agree, just think that was down to execution rather than playing it safe. He said himself he had a target of at least 20 under in mind.
I don’t think playing with Hovland helped. It was a mirror of yesterday really but the roles reversed with the two Cameron’s.

Rory needed to be paired with an opponent pushing him along . Hovland was poor from the start and Mcillroy couldn’t get fired up.
I had a £4.50 each way on him at 22/1, happy days.Had Smith at 28-1. Fancied he had the short game this week.....
