Thought our owners said they had patience? We've lost 2 games and this happens! Hope all you Hughes outers are happy. Feel sorry for the bloke. I'd have bet he would have slowly turned things around. Anyway good luck to the new manager. I'm sure he'll do better!!!

That was the problem. Do we give him 2 or 3 more years and another £200mil to spend to see if he could get us to the champs league?

The reality is the results (2 wins in 11) simply aren't good enough when you consider the investment which has been made in bringing in the players which we currently have.

Mancini will bring success starting with the Carling Cup in feb, I have no doubt about that.

Re: Crazy.

I'm surprised nobody has picked up on this from the board's statement:

"Sheikh Mansour and the Board felt that there was no evidence that the situation would fundamentally change."

Nobody was satisfied with the results and specifically the performance of the defence. Any business would want to see what plans were in place for making improvements where they were required. Any good business would intervene where they weren't happy with the plans.

Apart from anything else, it's their train set.

And as for feeling sorry for Hughes? I'm sure he'll take a nice long holiday with his big fat cheque and be set up with another seven-figure salary before the season's out.

I'm just looking forward to seeing what the future brings. This is already our past.

Not like we got a top drawer manager now though is it really?
No hiddink or mourinho is he?

We've got a manager who at the age of 45 has won 3 Serie A titles and 4 Coppa Italia's, not too bad really is it?

Mourhino- wont leave Inter for us
Hiddink-63 and the last Major thing he won was 20 years

Mancini won 5 trophies in 3 years at Inter
I would say thats a pretty good record

No, but people deserve to start somewhere, and Hughes started with us BEFORE the takeover. Remember the look on his face when pictured with new boy, Robinho? Like a rabbit caught in the headlights. He took on the job under known conditions, and everything changed, just like that. And credit to ADUG for having the faith to let him have a shot at it. Top drawer managers have to start somewhere. They don't just happen overnight.
