The pitch at COMS is too big.

I am convinced this is a factor in some of our poorer performances at home. It's like if our wingers beat theyr'e full back they still have a marathon before actually getting anywhere near the net. Disucss ?

We play with wideman and strikers who cut in from the flanks. We need a pitch of that width to be able to do it. Johnson does it well, Bellamy and Tevez too. The only one who fails to do so is SWP and thats because he isn't good enough.

So you want us to be Stoke then do you?

Last week was our first defeat at home in a year, in all competitions.

Perspective.

I dont know the exact criteria but i know that a pitch has to fall into some perimeter in length and width. Everton have the slimest pitch in the prem apparently

Well they are only getting £60,000pw......poor things...

Perhaps they should learn to kick the ball a bit harder?

Mike Summerbee, Tony Coleman and Nelly Young didn't have any problems....

:-)

No, Stoke's is narrowest so they can make use of their single way to score.

Yeah lets make the pitch dead short like Stoke because a small pitch will definately help us play better football and tire opposing teams.

get a wider pitch. me and my dad were talking about it. would mean that our players would have more space. especially bellers and johnson. why would you want a smaller pitch? we would have less space and be under pressure more.

haven't you enough homework to do?

so giving them less space to operate in and allowing defenders to get closer is a good thing?

The pitch is actually NOT as wide as it used to be!

We play better on a big pitch imho and it seems to have escaped you that we have lost..................how many times at home in the past 12 months?

YCNMIU.

i prefer having a big pitch. look at rags, arsenal, barcelona, real madrid etc......

they all have big pitches so they can pass it around a bit and find an opening

Wider pitches stretch defences. Good idea if you have decent attackers.
How about a wedge shaped pitch?
