The poisoned pen and the damage done

Whilst the gutter press are really fucking winding me up, their conduct really shouldn't be of any surprise to us blues.
In a nutshell, the Rags, Red Dippers and le Arse have a fucking huge following in Asia - Japan, China etc., and unfortunately the Premier League and Sky Sports are money making machines, so it is in their best interests to try and keep those teams at the top of the PL in order to sell them TV rights, merchandise etc. - Now the Dippers and Arsenal are faltering so they're doing their fucking all to make sure those Rag twats are kept up there.
The only thing that's shocked me this season is how seemingly transparent they are now being about it!

My favourite article by the DM recently has to be this one:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Roy-Hodgson-omits-defender-England-squad.html

After reading it I sat there scratching my head for about 10 minutes asking myself: WTF?

I have emailed Vicky Kloss to ask her why these twats aren't being banned. The journo scum lay off the rags and Bacon because they get banned from the swamp at the drop of a hat.
Why are these twats being allowed to dis the fans, the manager and the club on a daily basis?

You can't just ban people for asking questions in a Q&A session. OK the questions veer off topic, but don't they always? Besides, Ferguson is just a bully and using his behaviour as a benchmark is not a good idea.

City aren't very clever behind the scenes, that's why we get nailed in the press at every available opportunity (read: all the time).

We can show them up in press conferences in front of their colleagues though. Turn the table on them and ask them if they actually watched the game or just made up stories whilst filling their faces on free food.

I don't even...

I find myself asking;

Why do people buy newspapers and/or go on their websites? Wasn't it shown that the red tops have a reading age of 4 or something?

In these days of smartphones and internet access, you can get the news you want, when you want.

I know we have to deal with rags using these each day as ammo, but then I just merely ask, why are you reading that shite?

Any answer trying to jusitfy it proves their imbecility.

Printed media is dying, and it can't come soon enough.

As I understand this never reached the back page, but was pulled from the Mails website. Therefore although I agree that printed media is dying, fans will still log onto that papers website for upto date news reports and report back to Blue Moon.

I'll still wonder why. I'm sure people search out the negatives, confirmation bias and all that.

I'd much rather read the many top notch City bloggers out there, those who put their negative points across with evidence and reason.

Its the nature of the beast I`m afraid.Personally I don`t get too aggrieved with headlines that somehow show us in a bad light, but piss taking appears to upset the majority of Blue Mooners.
Think this latest episode was probably the straw that broke the camels back, with the Club contacting The Mail and its sudden disappearance from their website.
You only have to see the amount of new threads, with the major talking point "did you see what he said, they said, can`t be right" etc.
I suppose with me being an old fart I`ve seen and heard it all before,so therefore I don`t get as uptight as some of the younger ones.
But at the end of the day, everyone has a view and a right to comment.Even if I disagree with the young whipasnappers. ;)

Agreed.

Rather than there being an agenda against City, I think the City PR department is a little lacking if not naive. Sooner or later they'll get it sorted, I imagine.

Always remember the old adage that there is no such thing as bad publicity.

Gerald Ratner might disagree
