The Political Correlation Between the US and UK...

I'll reply to both of you here.

We live in a world where it is expected that one person is lauded above others through one means or another. Tiers of power are created, no matter what, and has been through time immemorial.

We cannot attain 'perfection' as it doesn't exist as that's a Utopian ideal impossible to reach with Human Beings.

What IS attainable is a fairness for Human dignity, Human worth; it's why you see people risking precious life to reach places that they hope will give them this.

What I don't understand is why you believe the perpetual Lie you're sold about people being paid more?

Companies are allowed to raise prices, so where are their profits going to come from? The Little People.

Who feeds the War Machine that the Govs say are needed to protect the Little People? The Little People.

Who pays for the roads, the teachers, the fire/ police/ health service? The Little People.

Who has to pay for the gambling and p*ss taking of the Financial Markets? The Little People.

**********************

I will leave it here as I've deleted quite a rant about wealth, the Living Wage and the Big Lie you guys are sold on.

Not sure why you added me, all I said was what you talk about sounds like a liberal ideology.

How the lie you talk about and me being sold on it as an egalitarian socialist I ain't sure

The little people are also able to choose where they spend their income, if these companies charge too much, they won't receive
their custom.

If a country has to go to war to fend off aggressors, then the little people need to protect themselves, as do the big people.
You may be speaking of perceived unnecessary wars, but the necessary ones involve everybody.

Who pays for the roads, the teachers, the fire/ police/ health service? The Little People.
Agreed, so to improve their collective lot, you want to raise the taxes paid by the little people. It's already been established
that you simply can't arbitrarily raise taxes solely on the big people.

Who has to pay for the gambling and p*ss taking of the Financial Markets? The Little People.
If you're talking of banks here, I agree, I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that many are now an irrelevance.
Although stricter controls have now been put in place that, hopefully, a repeat of 2008 is avoided.

So again, other than raising taxes, it's seems to me like an idealistic view, tinged with naivety, imo.

In ANY system there are people perceived to be little, grandstanding and using worn out irrelevant soundbytes when living in a democracy is unfathomably puerile. It's like some people never left university and whilst they were there they believed everything they were told without thinking about it.

It depends on your definition of socialism. For Fox News, not leaving people to die in a hotel corridor because they can't afford medical insurance is socialism. They use is as a scare tactic, when in reality, there's no-one in America who's arguing to nationalize Apple and Google, which would be what would happen under full socialism.

Exactly. Look at the scandi countries who can all be labelled socialist states - Personally I prefer the term socially conscious - works well there!
