I'm pretty positive he'll fuck up again. There is a bright side though. There is a circus coming to debdale park and they are short of clowns, might pop this in the bluemoon job thread for him.

What is positive about going out in the FA Cup Quarter Final at home to Wigan when only 1 or 2 players perform? What is wrong with criticising those performances? Doesn't make you any less of a fan.
Even if we go out on Wednesday and can't catch Chelsea, this season will still be a success in Pelegrini's first but that doesn't mean we can't say that Sunday was unacceptable.

You are embarrassing yourself, so the manager is at fault for players going through the motions against Wigan for 60 min?
Gray said:My positive take on the current situation:-
1. Shed loads of money saved by not being at Wembley.
2. No MDM to watch on Wednesday.
3. Club will now have to prioritise the buying of the players we require to strengthen our weaknesses.
I tried to think of more but failed miserably.

Not everyone. The Barca selection had some thought behind it and was sensible. There wasn't much wrong with yesterday's selection except Navas and Richards don't work together and I am not a fan of Toure and Garcia as a midfield two. Especially against a midfield 5 in full on press and harry mode.
And I hate threads titled 'The positive and sensible thread'. Seriously its annoying.
I think overall the Wigan defeat did highlight weaknesses in our team\squad and one or two or things to think about.
Firstly would Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal or other top English clubs have lost at home to a Championship side or lose twice to Wigan as we have, or any top European side have lost to lower league opposition at home ?
If we want to be the very best we should be able to cope with Wigan at home. Defeats to better teams in the Premier League and in Europe can be more easily understood, but defeats such as Wigan and Cardiff really should be avoided if we are to really become a major force.
Secondly, maybe now we finally now know that Dzeko and Garcia and Clichy and probably Kolarov and Pantillimon (and maybe Lescott although he seems fine when Kompany is present) and the much maligned Demechillis, are not quite good enough if City are to be truly a world class team.
Thirdly it is not Yaya Toure or David Silva or Sergio Aguero who are the most important members of our team, but in fact Vincent Kompany is the most important player we miss the most when he is not there.
Fourthly, Dietmar Hamann had some point about Yaya Toure in the sense that it is like City hold 17's in a card game and when Yaya plays we twist and he can produce magical important moments to give us a 21 hand, but he can sometime also bust our hand so to speak.
Fifthly, James Milner is always a better backup for Toure and Fernandinho if either of them is not selected.
Sixthly, Negredo is right out of form at present. Maybe if Jovetic is fit this week v Hill say we need to have him in with Aguero.
And finally why some many unnecessary bookings and Toure unless injured when subbed should sit on the bench and not disappear down the tunnel
One other point about City since the time when Mancini took charge and our "winning" started. Each time we have had a mini "crisis" over teh last 3 years we have in general produced something to get over it quickly.
i.e.
prior to beating Utd in the FA Cup semi in 2011 we lost badly at Liverpool and our top 4 finish seemed a bit in danger, but of course we beat Utd, won the Cup, beat Spurs and finished 3rd.
Prior to winning the Prem. League in stoppage time, we of course looked like throwing it away with defeats at Everton and Arsenal in particular and a home draw with Sunderland, but we of course again went on beat Utd, Newcastle and QPR to win it
With Pellegrini we had early defeats at Cardiff, Aston Villa, Sunderland etc but then beat Utd, Arsenal, Spurs and others and had a good run up to and including the win away at Spurs.
Again with Pellegrini again we lost at home to Chelsea, drew at Norwich and have seen Chelsea and Liverpool catch us, but this has been softened by the League Cup win.
Thus can we continue this trend and either pull off a shock in Barcelona or put some pressure back on Chelsea and Liverpool by winning the difficult early kick off v Hull on Saturday ? The only time in the last 3 years we have not picked up after a bad run was losing the Cup Final to Wigan after the League title was gone, and this ultimately lost Mancini his job (or at least provided one of the reasons)
Personally now I think Chelsea will win the League due to our difficult fixtures v Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton away (could even the most positive supporter now seeing us winning at least 3 of those games ?) , but we need a positive result from one or both the next 2 games to either get further in the Champs League or push on to ensure we finish at worst 3rd in the League.
Interesting week ahead !

He put them there. I'm not embarrassed one bit. Well I am but only for being taken in by a clown.

How do you get to the conclusion Kolarov isn't good enough when he wasn't even playing?!
gmckennasell said:on another day dzeko would have scored a hat trick , and if hart and kompany had started the match , i beleive we would have had a clean sheet , wigan got lucky , we rested too many players and the officials favoured the poor little underdogs , it happens in the FA Cup. We are off to the Nou Camp , we already have a cup in the trophy cabinet , and we are one of 3 serious contenders for the premiership , a little perspective wouldnt go amiss

I do not believe Kolarov is quite of enough quality overall if we want City to be the very best.
