Has anybody come up with a plausible theory of the mass exodus of Labour voters who defected to UKIP in the general election? Couldn't be that deep down they are racist?

A: they figured out that Labour would give the SNP anything they wanted for Scotland at the expense of England
B: they realised that Labour politicians, more than any others, are only in it for themselves and are the least likely to do anything to help the people they claim to stand for.

In 2020 I'd expect there to be millions more.
