Are you not the guy who said something along the lines that we are all human beings, borders shouldn't mean anything and we should look after each other

Sounds like something I'd say yeah - but I don't follow.

The population of the globe is around 7 billion, many of these are poor and I don't mean UK poor here, in fact near a billion are close to starving every day, they live on a dollar a day, think about that, in global terms you are rich
You have mentioned you have a job, you obviously have a computer and probably other things like the rest of us

People bleat about the rich and not giving to the poor, that is you, me and every fucker on here, don't expect politicians to do it for you, if you cared enough pay for the roof over your head and food to stop you going hungry, with the rest make a difference to people's lives, when you have done this come back and show me the kids you have sponsored and how you have made a difference, it might even shame the rest of us into doing something

In the meantime leave the mock outrage it is wearing a little thin, I know what I am and I know what most humans are

Next time we have a pint or a takeaway we could have made someone else's life bearable but we don't, the only difference is I ain't blaming someone else

All the best to you but as a race we are seriously flawed
That's is a seriously harsh attack on someone, I think his point was about the multi millionaires/billionaires how much do you need? We can all do our bit giving to charity etc, I'm not saying individually we can make a huge difference purely from a finance point of view but does a billionaire really need a billion in the bank?
Humans a have a self preservation button in them but they are also caring (mostly) when they can be but n one on this earth needs millions to live.

I give a decent percentage of my income to charity. About 10% actually, and it goes entirely to Water Aid. This is added to the volunteer work I do as a teacher, an IT consultant and a footy coach. Not to mention the thousands of free hours a year I volunteer on here for the social good of our members.

We do our bit. What's your excuse?

You're seriously flawed. Don't project your inadequacies onto the rest of us.

Oh your gripe is that I am not Ghandi? that's sensible..

I have a job and computer, a bed, a shit car and not much else. The race is seriously flawed! and instead of treating the symptoms of a disease, prevention is where it's at. We probably shouldn't be carrying on in this manner, but who am I..who are you..

My point was simply that people look at other less fortunate people with such contempt. The rich do it to the working class, and the working class do it to the unemployed. Who do the poor look down their nose at?

Also I have to pick up on the mock outrage... Mock? I can't possibly feel these things really? Oh yeah - I don't work for green peace I forgot.

My point is if you care about the poor help them, you and me are the rich guys we just prefer to ignore the fact for our own peace of mind

bitter Labour supporters showing their class by trying to destabilize a legitimate government.

We aren't the rich guys but I take your point, it's all relative. The amount of lies you tell yourself just to get out of bed...

We all do it, so we're all hypocrites on some scale. My gripe: I earn enough to live in the country of my birth, I see my kids right (CSA) - sick days in the last 13 years? about 3. I am absolutely fine with this, I have peace in it. What I don't have peace in isn't the poor 'scrotes' but the excessively rich exploiters. Some wealth is simply disgusting, and while I am all for bettering oneself,, there should be a limit.

I'm still undecided what is the least appealing: an ungracious winner, or an ungracious loser.

Ungracious winner all day.
That's exactly what an ungracious loser would say ;-)

You played me :(

:) Come on though.. the winner has won by definition. He has the spoils, it is repugnant to rub it in the face of the guy who lost.

I don't have an excuse I thought I made that very very clear, you do more than me, well done, you can now claim to be a little less selfish than me, being a smaller **** than someone else still makes you a **** and that is the point, in fact in terms of disposable income I could argue the point but it wouldn't change what I am or what you are or most people are
