When they sadly get reelected these promises will mysteriously disappear into more cuts to the poor and tax breaks for his posh pals. The EU referendum will also be forgotten about along with the promises to the Scots.

His Hypocrisy knows know bounds comparing leaving his kid in the pub to a speech gaff by an opposition leader and don't get me started on him wheeling out his disabled son every conference in front of the cameras when millions of others are being slowly euthanised by his parties policies.

Totally agree. Despicable use of his deceased son for political advantage whilst overseeing the dismantling of the NHS should tell you all you need to know about the morals of this man.

Also made a joke about forgetting his kids and leaving them alone in the pub.

Given the 'tax take' from North Sea Oil I doubt Nationalising it would have made much difference to Treasury coffers. An insane percentage of North Sea Oil revenue goes to the government.

You can't meaningfully compare Norway's economy with the UK's as much as you're desperate to try and crowbar it into any argument.

As a national resource all revenue should have gone to the people who owned it not some "insane" percentage.


Not comparing Norways economy to ours but there per capita GDP is amazing. There youth unemployment is less than 8% ffs....because they use there oil reciepts to invest in the country not make rich people richer.

Very surprised this has not been mentioned today, I guess certain people are lets say keeping their head down so to speak ?? anyway please don't bully me as I make my statement. I believe his speech was for the working person and can only enhance the need to work !!! If you earn above £10000 and below £13000 its brilliant as you will not pay tax..If you earn above £41000 you will not pay 40% tax until £50000, what is there not to like as a hard earning upstanding working person ???? Better life for the people who work.... simple economics.

A government and a Prime Minister for 'hardworking people'! The only trouble, having worked my fingers to the bone for forty years I don't qualify, along with a lot of other 'hardworking people' who don't sing from the Tory hymn sheet!

He said William Hague is the greatest living Yorkshiremen. It's really hard to believe anything someone says in a speech when they've said that. Great way to make sure you don't get many votes in Yorkshire though.
