Doesn't really matter what he knows about Michael Foot, all he's saying is that politically he was unelectable as Prime Minister, therefore a gift for the Tories. It's an election speech.
The current government have spent the last four years eroding the lower and middle class incomes through a multitude of means, sneaky, subtle, and some downright outrageous. And then, 6 months or so from a general election, they offer a chunk of it back, albeit in 5 years time...

The worrying thing for me Jim,I`m a Labour man through and through.I would change the colour to Battleship Grey,so he could be on par with John Major another charismatic figure head.

Ed looks a bit wierd, he cant eat a bacon butty and he talks through his nose.....So fucking what. Churchill was a drunken letch with more bad habits than a catholic priest but he did a decent job in the end

Whether Dave Milliband was Blair two or not, or as some said, he was Cameron's double, he was a thousand times more electable than his brother

The reason Thatcher could do what she did was a fucking unbelievably weak Labour opposition, that she mullered and that opposition was led by Foot
He may have been an honorable man with great ideas, but he was totally the wrong person
