Well, so it all comes down to tomorrow. Basically a one day race to settle a Grand Tour. The gap between the top two is so small it could go either way.

My heart says IDT takes it. Mexico will go bananas for cycling if it happens. It does depend on Carapaz though. If he can fire it up again like he did midweek, I think it could happen for him. And he has experience of winning it before.

Anyway, bring on the morrow …

I think they’ll be too busy concentrating on one another and Yates will come through to win. Just my hunch

I’ve seen it time after time when neither will work for a stage win but never when the final jersey is up for grabs, fair fucks to Yates for initiating it all a ballsy move so far out.

I wonder if Yates laid off ever so slightly yesterday to give the front two the idea he was no longer a contender to win.

Van Aart was chewing the bar tape I’m staggered by the reserves these lads have, I was in Majorca cycling the other week and Swifty basically landed at the airport got on his bike and cycled to the other side of the Island, I saw him briefly as he shot by me on one the CAT 3’s I was doing my best to keep my HR at about 140 he was probably doing about a 100bpm, twat! :-))))

Brilliant mate. Yep, watched it on telly earlier - weather turned out ok in the end.
Spotted them going past the Lion Inn on the tops too.

Thought the right rider won - the American who was in that breakaway at the front didn’t really do her share of the pulling it looked to me. Mind you she nearly crashed at a corner bollard, and missed her mouth completely when trying to eat an energy bar near the end of the race and threw it away accidentally!

First off, we had some local shots from Dalby prior to the start and Liz was the only one of the Treck team not in white rimmed sunglasses ;-)
After the whole show passed , I crossed the road and headed home and put the telly on and they were at the start of going up Blakey WOW, only a 5 min walk.
Will cheer on the Cat with Liz to Glasgow, enjoy mate :-)

Marvellous stuff from Cat Ferguson today in awful conditions round Kelso. Great form from her, both sprinting and climbing.

She fully deserves the GC. Glasgow street circuit tomorrow could be taxing though, esp if wet. Was up there for the World Champs in 23 and if it’s the same circuit it’ll be tough. That climb by Strathclyde Uni (where they filmed the police HQ in Taggart) is an absolute gasper!
