It could be argued that those you listed are generational talents. Cav is arguably an all-time great in cycling.

I just had a look at his Wiki... He has won 49 Grand Tour stages. That's mind-blowing.
 
Thought his chances of catching Merckx were long gone but that’s proved me wrong. He has the team, he’s got balls bigger than King Kong; he could do it.

Towards the end of the race it was discomforting to watch the two most powerful riders in the world (WvA and MVDP,) Ala and all but one GC rider coming over the line looking like they were completely exhausted but Pogacar did not even look like he was breathing through his mouth. When he took his helmet off and his hair was dry.
