The Pro Road Cycling Thread

Interesting times in the fight against doping in sports, what with recent headline news on Pogba and Halep.

Anyway, on an unrelated note, found this an interesting read on this year’s leading GT rider and his performances across the 2023 season.
Those charts showing so many climbs at over 7.4 watts/kg are incredible.
IIRC even Armstrong said he was producing 7.0 though I may be mistaken on that.

Is it just me but are the press/media trying to make things up about jumbo vista.
Even eurosport seem to be saying theres problems within the team.

Everyone seems to be assuming what the riders are thinking. Its getting abit like football press/media.

Making for the most intriguing cycling transfer season/merry go round I can remember in ages.

On the actual bike, just one race left, the race of the falling leaves on Saturday in Lombardy, the last Monument of the season. A seven hour viewing marathon; cannot wait :-)

Pogacar you beauty.
You can stick your pasty faced skeletal grand tour winner, this fella really is the greatest rider out there.
Those scenes on the last climb in Bergamo were truly fabulous.
A sheer pleasure to watch that today.
