Flanders didn't' get any television this weekend here. I'm hoping some of the others will. Large races aside, there doesn't seem to be much rhyme nor reason for what Universal or BeIn decide to show. Sometimes I'll get a "new" event on the DVR and it will be a previously untelevised race from months before. Really odd when it has new commentary as if it were just raced.

Its always worth looking on youtube.

Contador was brilliant today. Love the passion of the Basque fans too. Also a nice little bit early on about the TdF in Yorkshire.

Boom! Tony Martin soloing to victory with Kwia coming home in third yesterday. Nice to see Swifty up there as well, there wasn't much in it between those two on the line. Wasn't a bad stage at all, much better than the parcours suggested it would be.

What a win for Swift today! How he managed to hang in with that select company I don't know. I knew he could climb, but that was really something.

So it comes down to the time trial. We know Tony Martin will win it. But the story is how will the GC guys do. There are in theory 5 or 6 guys that "could" pull out the overall with a good enough run.

With it being a hilly TT, and with Contador going off last, I'd be fairly surprised if he let the GC slip. Valverde should go well too and I reckon Kwiatowski and will be favourite for the third podium spot.

Gutted I missed it. Was really busy all day Friday and didnt catch the highlights today. Saw a snippet going into the hinal climb and assumed it was Nieve up there for Team Sky.

So pleased for Swifty.

Fantastic from Swifty to take the stage win, especially given the climbs on the stage. Also great to see Simon Yates having a dig on the climb early on.

So excited for P-R tomorrow, I hope its as good as Flanders last week.

Fook !!

Paris -Roubaix and Dippers v City tomoz

what a day !!!

have been texting round mates to get the best of both !!!

Plan is....

Dpps v City in the pub

then

back to a mate's for P-R

I'm told that events can be broadcast 'out of synch' e.g. we watched the 2nd half of Flanders 30 min late ( crucial, of course, to get isolated from
actual 'live' results

If we can't suss this , we'll just get the last hour

(the TDFlandres mate is watching his son in the Nat Championships up in Co. Durham) Big family of blues btw . If the lad wins I will relay the result

Either way

What a fookin day !!!

Just watched Paris Roubaix. Its on you tube. 2 hours 40 minutes of it with Kirby in the chair.

Just an amazing race. Great to see Brad and G go so well but fantastic win by tirpstra
