Yes, just seen the odds list on Eurosport. Great interest from a British POV with a British rider or team at the top there, but the list did make me realise that it looks a “relatively” easier Grand Tour title to win this year; no Rog, no Pog, no Van Aert, no Adam Yates, etcGiro starts today, with the ITT starting and finishing in Turin.
With Benal and S. Yates the favourites.
Top Ganna yesterday. Possibly expected, but the guy is still a machine on a TT bike.
Was hoping for a day straight into the mountains today, it being a weekend stage, but a sprint stage it is, so one to tune in for the last half hour only I suppose.
Yes JV seem to always be able to pull something out of the hat don’t they? Have become genuine rivals with, if not surpassed, Ineos now at the head of the sport. Exciting times ahead in all 3 GTs I think...Bit of an exposed run-in a few KMs out which could shake things up.
I fancied Cavagna to be in pink as he had been in top form. However, it seemed Ganna had been holding something back during his other TTs this season. A monster ride.
Surprised Almeida finished ahead of Cavagna. Maybe Cavagna was not at his best.
Two incredible rides from JV riders again.
Did you see is interview after the race, it was comedy gold.Oh what a sight to see an unknown breakaway rider succeed! It is so so rare they manage it, but fair play.
