you dont pay £250k a week for vibes.Yeah like I said. He brings me than just on the pitch.
It's like Kompany and how we supported him during that last season where he was injured - he loves the club even more for it. We could just fuck them off, save the money, I understand that.
we say that about every ‘legend’ but the reality is not all want to be coaches and/or return homeNo disrespect but former players like a Fernandinho should be on the staff mentoring the younger players. Apparently something Kolo is doing.
Waiting until one has outplayed their utility isn't what allows us doing the statues, the accolades, and support you're referring to. That is the fabric.
Players are no dummies. They know when they are cooked. Moving on from such situations benefits both the club and the player. Otherwise one becomes like Walker taking loads of heat after being one of the best in the business. To some degree pro sports are heartless but it's also a profession that only a very, very few can ever partake in while being compensated at levels that the average person never will. Just my thoughts...
Agree, but we have so many legends I'm sure we could dig up a few, lol...we say that about every ‘legend’ but the reality is not all want to be coaches and/or return home
When I had my knee rebuilt after snapping both of my Cruciate ligaments, they took some of my Hamstring to use as the new ligaments. He hasnt got a hamstring through his knee….
Agreed.Being written of way too early. He was superb v Arsenal in the league cup final, and vs them in the league, he's clearly not been fully fit last 2 games but fair play to him for playing with a WC on the horizon. Losing him and Bernardo would be a killer blow and no chance we'd win the league without him next year.
This is spot on.The more I hear about key snr players maybe leaving, the more I think we need someone like Luis Enrique who can help attract and retain players.
As much as I'm on board with the idea of Maresca, he's not a player magnet.
Head and shoulders above Rice. He has to stay. How could people who watched Rodri in both wins vs Arsenal think he is dispensible? Incredible.
For starters, he was much better than Rice in both games.
You posted that before reading on in the thread, lol. So have I.When I had my knee rebuilt after snapping both of my Cruciate ligaments, they took some of my Hamstring to use as the new ligaments.
The difference in money between getting and not getting CL football would be more than the transfer fee we’d get for him this Summer. It’s not a dilemma…sign the new deal or you’re on the market. Can’t afford to let top players simply run their contract down and walk away for nowt!
If he gets the royalties for my post I'll be seriousl miffedThe Rodri Dilemma by Robert Ludlum.
This assumes that the difference in the squad between CL or no CL is Rodri! I’m not sure it is, even though I understand your maths! The difference in money between getting and not getting CL football would be more than the transfer fee we’d get for him this Summer.
He’s worth keeping just to help us do that even if he left for free next Summer.
That would be a valid argument if you think rodri would be the difference between us getting or not getting champions league. The difference in money between getting and not getting CL football would be more than the transfer fee we’d get for him this Summer.
He’s worth keeping just to help us do that even if he left for free next Summer.
