what young player in the past few years has even looked close to beng as promising as Denayer?

Denayer has played competitively for Belgium and looked good. I think Jizzyjaz has only made apps in friendlies

I think Garcia needs a loan spell at the right club to just get a bit of meaningful first team experience and then he'd be ready to step into the first team squad next season, huge talent.

The most impressive for me has been Manu Garcia, for a 17 year old, he looks superb, this lad will make his debut some time this season surely unless he's loaned out ( think he should have a leading role in the EDS before a loan ) But regarding the 3 mentioned, very impressed with them too, Denayer has to be 3rd choice at least next season, give him a season to acclimatise first then go from there. Iheanacho oozes confidence, if given the chance, this lad will snatch Bony's spot by the time he's 20 in my opinion. Lopes has also developed well and is looking close but not sure if he'll feature much, especially if Pogba and KDB come so can see another loan coming.

Thought Iheanacho was excellent, can see him getting lots of game time and goals next season, his through ball to Sterling was quality and his vision and all round game was a joy to watch, Garcia, Denayer and Lopes were also impressive, not going to get too carried away off the back of one friendly. But the future seems very bright, a lot brighter than our friends in the press would have everyone believe

I was very impressed by all of our youngsters!

Kelechi, Denayer, Barker, Lopes and Zuculini especially.

Zuculini could definitely do a job instead of Fernando! Much more mobile than him and some good tackles made.

We have to realise it's only pre-season but you have to be excited by the youth in our team. I hope they get a chance this year. Two senior players stood out as poor and that was Fernando who never looks in control of the ball and Kolarov for his poor positioning, he seems to not be bothered working at this clear flaw in his game. Denayer looks like a real gem, I was impressed with his bringing the ball out of defence and his all round positioning - if he keeps that up he looks better than Vinny. Zucchini is an odd one as now we have Delph I can't see him making the squad. Think he will be sold as I don't see the value of another loan at age 22. Do agree he looks better than Fernando but then again so do you!!

Does anyone else think that Iheanacho might be a bit intense? I noticed last preseason that players don't seem to be overly friendly with him. Also noticed that some players seem slo to pass to him. My gut feeling is that he is so determined to succeed that he might not fit in with the rest of the lads as well as others. Might be totally unfair but just got that impression.
