The Roma match has convinced me...

unal looked terrible. His first action when coming on was to be out paced by a roma player.

I personally think lopes won't make it. looks like he has arrogance that isn't justified.

ianacho, denayer both look good.

I think you're absolutely wrong about Lopes, seems a very humble and hardworking guy to me. Has great talent as well, I think he can reach at least Nasri-level in the future, maybe even better.

I agree Unal didn't impress me either, lacks pace and strenghth. However I do think you're being very harsh on a guy who played half a game in a friendly. He can't be bad after scoring 170 in 100 in youth and reserve team football, give him time. Touted to be a fantastic talent so I wouldn't judge him so harshly after a lacklustre 45 minutes in a pre season friendly

We were playing against an Italian team, with a packed defence,(see Pulis) and the youngsters were not cowed, played some good one touch stuff, can only get better.

Denayer looks so much more and confident than mangala, he looks 100% ready!
Kelechi looks like a future star. Lopes looking decent and that manu garcia looks an incredible talent for his age!

Fantastic to see Rony Lopes back in a City shirt, hope he gets some game time as well this year.

Glad to see we are judging a guy after a 10 min cameo

I really don't think you can judge a player on one action from a pre-season game, especially when the team is doing double and triple training sessions at the moment.

As for Lopes, Vieira has said in the past that he never saw a harder working player. At the end of training Lopes would be staying on the pitch working on his skills, shooting etc. He pointed out that if the English youngsters had half the effort and commitment that England may be in a far better place than they are.

Lets not forget that Manu Garcia is still u18 this year. I think he will get plenty of game time in the youth league and cup, as well as all of the EDS competitions that he will not need to go out on loan.

Lopes is a hyper aggressive attacking player. He just wants to get forward, run at people, cause chaos. He does this extremely well and we could use a player like that from time to time. I think he's good enough for the league and only time will tell if he's good enough for the best of the best teams. I hope we can get him enough time to find out in our shirt.
