I agree that the annexation of the Sudetenland is the closest parallel to what has happened in the Crimea, I suspect Transnistria and Abkhazia will be next.Ducado said:

I wonder how many South American countries have US sponsored govt officials acting as puppets for them?

The Ukraine a few months ago has a sponsored puppet running the Ukraine for them, probably a few other countries near Russia with the same deal as well

Yes democratically elected but I would suspect the same puppets he was talking about were also democratically elected. It does tend to happen in other countries as well. Egypt springs to mind. Leader was democratically elected, turns out they didn't like him and got rid

Yep, fairly normal fact of life, big countries constantly looking to take control of smaller countries, us still by far the worst though.
