"The Sancho Narrative" vs patience

how to mess up your career but earn lots of money !
At this moment in time you arent doing your self any favours signing for rags, but of course bank balance will be nice.

Sancho not even worth a thread on here. City business wise have done very well from him though.

I feel like Jadon could have benefitted from his manager keeping quiet rather than publicly revealing he was training with the kids or was out of shape. Some issues are best kept in house. He clearly hasn't responded well to his manager so far, but equally as with Cancelo, sometimes the player doesn't fit and has to go. Ultimately he's sat there earning a fortune and probably needs to move to re-focus.

A lot of players are motivated by improving and winning things and they aren't too focussed on the financial side. Phil got his head down and was rewarded. He's now a major part of one of the best sides the world has seen. I feel like Cole could have done the same thing. He was as close to our first team as he is Chelsea's and we're challenging for major titles whilst they're a work in progress. But he would have had to wait a long time to earn the money he currently is, and he clearly thought he'd play more there than with us and wanted to go and earn the big wages now.

If you were given the choice of mega bucks and Chelsea or a fair bit less and Liverpool you have to weigh up what you want to achieve. Liverpool are still a work in progress and you know at Chelsea they've got the cash to quite quickly transform into a successful side given time, whereas Liverpool are less likely to invest. You also get to live in posh London on big money rather than Liverpool. Sometimes it's as simple as that.

Hmm not sure - since he made that prediction, Sancho has won 2 trophies with Dortmund and one with United, racked up 76 G+A in 82 games for Dortmund, got an £80m transfer with a £65m contract.

Not sure id describe that as being “nowhere”, despite his ongoing struggles at United.
Yeah, he's outstripped fodens achievements during that time. Must have been a success then. Look at where they are now though, one is a success the other is literally nowhere (Or playing FIFA whilst his team play football).

His mindset is shite, he's lost to it I think, add into that that his 'skills' are in taking players on, speed, dribbling, having his mind in the sweet spot, enthusiasm, all the thing that come easily in youth.... I think his best days are over and in a few years time he will be playing where the spotlight dont shine.

Unless he apologises that is and takes part in ten hags project because only that way will he learn the disciplines required to have a successful career... Or he can wing it and do it his own way, which is what he seems to do all the time.

99% of players need to leave to get regular football but most are kicked out. He did very well finding his feat at BD going abroad in his teens. If he hadn't done well there wouldn't be a thread on him like the hundreds or thousands of others that leave.

City don't have patience with most players unless they have mistakenly given them massive contracts and have to live with it. It is a 2 way thing.

Didn't Ten Hag give him 3 months off last season to sort himself out. There was very little mention of it via official channels. I think the Arsenal bombshell was a last resort, because if he doesn't respond to a softly softly approach, lets see how he reacts to people actually knowing that he is a total waster who doesn't turn up to training on time. Or that he is up all night playing xbox, and is not fit. Got kicked out of the England squad for turning up late to a meeting. Went AWOL when at Dortmund and turned up a day late to pre-season. Flies off on holiday after matches, then turns up late for training not in any fit state to train. The lad is bad news. He does what he wants, and won't listen to good advice. There's no helping someone like that.

It was all over the news that he wasn't fit and was training with the youth team.
