The simple truth...

Think this entire topic is a bit cringy and not at all aligned in reality.

The rags are massive cunts and I hope their sucked dry by the Glazers but they chose a dead rubber game against a team that's seen as the biggest rivalry in the Premier League, despite reality reflecting only what theirs and the dippers glory seeking fanbases believe, don't think it was about us at all, even if the thought had crossed their mind.

Let them do what they want, we're about to win the league and possibly enter the Champions League final. Literally nowt they, their pithy little protest or any fucker else can do about it. Except for being attendance nonces on facebook articles.

I wouldn’t say it’s entirely down to us being better - although the fact it’s us who’s replaced them at the top of the tree won’t help their mood.

I’d say it’s more about them not being top dog anymore - we all know how smug, entitled and brittle most rags are as we all have the misfortune of knowing a few. The fact is they’re a spectacularly badly run club - at pretty much every level - and their mismanagement has robbed them of the capacity to compete at the top level of the sport.

This is what they’re protesting - their place at the top of the tree has gone, and this simply isn’t what most rags signed up for. They can’t deal with not winning, and they’re having a melodramatic public hissy fit about it!
Completely agree.

The Glazers have been there 15 years.

The day Liverpool can beat them to hand City the title is the day the choose to storm the pitch and get the game called off.

And some people think that’s a coincidence? Lol

Their fans were trouble before they were good (they were the first club to have fenced in supporters, a practice that eventually led to the Hillsborough disaster) and now they're trouble after their demise, like the original post says, they can't handle being second best in their own City.

Did they once have to play a game at Plymouth. Because they had to play 200 miles from the Swamp due to crowd trouble. I cannot remember the details.

Today’s riot may have been partly down to the super league and the Glazers but there is one simple truth in all of this: United fans simply cannot handle the fact that they cannot compete with us anymore, they cannot deal with the fact that it is not the 90’s and they are no longer the best. This arrogance has been passed down generations, the same arrogance is the reason why clubs across the country struggle because fans would rather watch them lot on the telly than watch their local team mainly because they aren’t successful, the same reason why you see more United and Liverpool shirts on the streets of places like Carlisle, Colcheter or Plymouth than the shirts of the local teams. They’ve been spoilt and now they can’t handle the fact that they’re not only second in the country but second in their own City. We’ve got everything that they want know: an owner who improves and invests in the City, someone whose created a dynasty, someone whose looked to grow the academy, the Women’s team and other things, they’re still at Carington while we’re at the best training facilities in the country and one of the best in the world. We’ve seen the worst of our team and thank God we’re now seeing the best we may ever see, but don’t forget that it won’t last forever so be grateful for what we have. Thank you Sheik Mansour. The simple truth is they cannot deal with the fact that little Citeh have overtaken them, they didn’t see it coming but now it’s here...

And it’s beautiful!

Fantastic post and 100% spot on.

I would like to add the Govan piss cans roll in all this, they've named a stand after him, he got a knighthood and treated with God like status by the great unwashed.
However, this is the man who left the club with no forward planning, he chose Moysie as his successor, he controlled the club from top to bottom, but more importantly he fell out with John Magnier and JP Macmanus over the racehorse The Rock of Gibraltar, this subsequently led them to selling their shares to the Glazer family and taking control of the swamp.
The hordes chant his name and show blind loyalty to the greedy **** who sold his club out for horse spunk, let that sink in.
Their current situation is based on false entitlement, realisation they are miles behind our great club and a piss cans greed for horse spunk.

Also never forget the pisscan and Busby both so called workong class heroes, both apparently rabid socialists from Glasgow working class roots took knighthoods at the drop of a hat and their working class socialist principles went right out of the window, that shower of shite club has always stunk of hypocrisy.

I don't think it has been a good look for City fans at all. I know plenty of United fans who have a longstanding frustration with the Glazers, and I've been to FC United and chatted to people there who hate them. The ESL stuff was only 2 weeks ago, which has reignited these longstanding frustrations, and which some City fans similarly felt, though I understand our owners have a lot more goodwill credit in the bank. The idea it was about stopping us winning the title or whatever is pretty sad, tbh.

I think you’re right. The ESL has reignited the frustrations and I see lots of similarities between the position Utd are in now with the Glazers and where we were in 1993. It was the birth of the Premier League and our own failings after Swales put us into a position where we were in significant debt etc.that led to our pitch invasion v Spurs. Losing that game was the catalyst which allowed emotions to spill over on to the pitch, just like the ESL has been the catalyst for the Reds now. I explain more here:

Frustrations of many fans objecting to a chairman or owner remain until they get their way but what events like our Spurs defeat in 93 and the ESL stuff do is make a club’s wider fan base start to think of the specifics of what’s wrong at their club. Frustration that City are winning trophies will play a part - as it did with us in 93 - but it’s only a part.
