The south stand

looked great (anyone get any photos?), atmosphere was poor though. dampened significantly by conceeding early and never got going again really untill agueros last minute goal.

from what i saw in 117, 112-115 were stood the whole game and thought they made more noise than any other area of the ground. It needed an early goal and good performance to really work imo.

Can we get this started -

"When the ball hits the net, it's a fu****g good bet that's Agueroooo.

When the ball hits the net, it's not Torres or Shrek that's Agueroooo!"

Pretty much summed it up, ended up being a bad game to give it a go. We shouldn't write it off yet though.

people who think atmosphere would have been better with 20 spaniards occupying 3 blocks need to give their heads a serious wobble.

i was thinking about it during the game and i was thinking it would probably be better than what is happening now, the away fans would still be in range for those wanting to give them abuse and i think the general atmosphere would be much better.

this :)

A non crucial group game against low profile opposition was never gonna generate a rip roaring atmosphere but it was better than would normally be the case.

It's psychologically much tougher for opposing teams to have all four sides of the ground at pitch level occupied by City fans.

Banish away fans to level 3
