The Southampton Thread!

Lallana and Shaw(maybe Schneiderlin too) would really improve us imo.

Where would Lallana play? He's too similar to Nasri to play alongside, saying that put him in Liverpools team and he'd rip it up.

Would like to see them retain as many players as possible and push on to challenge for a UEFA spot. It's not healthy to have big teams dismantle smaller clubs just to then have their players wasting away on the bench. I fear they're about to be penalised, for want of a better term, for producing a crop of talented Englishmen, in that clubs are going to sign them simply to fulfil their home-grown criteria.

I thought they were one of the better teams to come to our place, but they seemed to lack any bite up front

Pretty football with no end product.

Kind of sums it up, but that said they more than deserve to be in the Prem, at least they are playing good football, I would rather have teams like Southampton in the Prem than bus parking teams, and I think the level of skill in this league would increase as well

To be fair a CB pairing of Kompany and Demi should be dealing with Lambert every day of the week, and they did, So'ton just had nothing up front to go to, especially once Rodriguez went off, similar problem Swansea have when Michu or Bony aren't firing, just lack that quality up top.

Osvaldo was meant to be the answer but was just not arsed enough, wouldn't have been a bad club to have sent Guidetti to 2bh.
